Mississippi State Treasurer Lynn Fitch New Vice- Chair of the State Financial Officers Foundation

(NEW YORK CITY) – State Financial Officers Foundation (SFOF) President Derek Kreifels today announced that Lynn Fitch, State Treasurer of Mississippi, will serve as the next SFOF Vice-Chair.

“I’m thrilled and honored that Lynn Fitch, Mississippi’s first-ever female Republican State Treasurer, will serve as the next SFOF Vice-Chair.  Lynn is one of the most capable and distinguished state treasurers in the country.  Her passion for financial literacy, and commitment to create opportunities for all Mississippi citizens, has been an inspiration to state financial officers across America.  As the SFOF Vice-Chair, Lynn will be a superb leader and spokeswoman for the fiscally-conservative, free-market principles that are so vital to the economic health of our states, and nation,” Kreifels said.

“I’m humbled by the confidence my fellow state financial officers have placed in me.  As state financial officers, we have unique and up-close insights into the economic health of our communities.  SFOF is dedicated to promoting sound fiscal policy and I’m honored to serve as its next Vice-Chair,” Fitch said.

SFOF is the nation’s leading conservative foundation committed to bringing together state financial officers with the nation’s top private sector companies and organizations.  SFOF is founded on the belief that state financial officers can and should play a greater role in promoting conservative, fiscally-responsible public policy.

Today, the states in the U.S. with the soundest financial condition, and with the highest credit ratings, are those that have been managed conservatively with small government, pro-growth policies that respect free markets and free people.  SFOF seeks to facilitate the transfer of those policies - and best practices – between states.
